Why it matters
The parts of compliance that actually get audited
Any agency can say it is licensed. These are the specific obligations the Act imposes, and how Praxon meets each one — the things a property manager, procurement team or insurer will eventually ask you to evidence.

Agency licensing
Praxon holds a current Ontario security agency business licence, number 50083924. Clients may verify it with the Ministry of the Solicitor General at any time.

Individual guard licensing
Under the Act every guard must hold their own licence and carry it on duty. We verify each licence before assignment and track expiry dates so nobody works past theirs.

Mandatory basic training and testing
Provincially mandated basic training and the ministry test are prerequisites for a licence. No guard is placed on a Praxon site without them.

Emergency first aid certification
Required for licensure in Ontario, held and current for every deployed officer.

Uniform and insignia compliance
The Act restricts what a security uniform may display. The Praxon uniform — white shirt, black tie, company and SECURITY patches, identification tag — is worn without variation, with no police-style insignia, rank markings or prohibited symbols.

Visible identification on duty
Officers wear the SECURITY patch and an identification tag showing the licence number, so anyone on site can see immediately who they are dealing with.

Code of conduct
The Act prescribes a code of conduct for licensees. Ours is enforced through supervision and documented, and complaints are investigated rather than absorbed.

Insurance and WSIB
Commercial general liability coverage and WSIB coverage are in place and current. Certificates are provided on request during procurement.
The uniform
The uniform, worn without variation
Ontario regulates what a private security uniform may look like, specifically to prevent guards being mistaken for police. Agencies that ignore this create a real problem for their clients — a non-compliant uniform is a liability sitting in your lobby.
The Praxon uniform is worn without variation: a white long-sleeve collared shirt with two chest pockets, black tie, black belt, black trousers and black shoes. The company patch and a separate SECURITY patch are worn on the right chest and on both upper sleeves, with an identification tag carrying the licence number on the left chest. No epaulettes, no rank chevrons, no badges, no prohibited insignia.
